AN APPROACH TO NONLINEAR DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF BRIDGE WITH ASEISMIC ABSORBERS

Abstract
Specific to the problem of the dynamic analysis of a new-type bridge bearing with aseismic absorbers, a nonlinear dynamic model according to the theory of bending motion for a cantilever beam is established and an extended time integration method based on the generalized-α method is presented, where the curves of the mechanical properties of the bearing measured by a quasi-static test can be fully utilized. The dynamic response of the bearing under a typical excitation is acquired by numerical computation. Numerical examples indicate that the extended method has high computational precision and can correctly and effectively deal with the nonlinear dynamic analysis of the bridge bearing. The present work may provide a reference for further evaluation on the work efficiency and improvement of the bearing structural design.
